Punch Burger
Locally owned and run, Punch Burger makes their burgers with locally sourced grass-fed Angus beef. They focus on using the very best ingredients available to produce quality, sustainable, and mouthwatering burgers. Their menu burgers include the Thai – Beef burger with peanut butter, Asian slaw, onion, and sweet chili sauce. Customers can also build their own burgers, choosing from a huge selection of meats, toppings, buns, and sauces. Also on the menu are grilled cheese and sweet potato tots.
Wash down your burger with a rotating selection of local draft craft beers, wine, or a selection of milkshakes like salted caramel or coconut. You can find Punch Burger Downtown or at Nora – Parkwood Crossing. Always drink responsibly and do not drink and drive.
Kuma’s Corner
Hailing from Chicago, Kuma’s is a metal music burger bar. They pride themselves on supporting and giving back to the communities that support their business. Each month they donate to worthy charities, ingredients are sourced from local farmers, and drinks are provided from a rotating selection of local craft breweries and distilleries. Burgers are named after famous rock bands. For example, the Black Sabbath is topped with blackening spice, chili, pepper jack cheese, and red onion. The Led Zeppelin features bacon, BBQ pulled pork, cheddar, and pickles.
All burgers are available with a choice of beef patty, breaded chicken tenders, grilled chicken breast, or black bean patty. They also serve mac and cheese, sandwiches, and appetizers. You can find Kuma’s at 1127 Prospect Street.
Bru Burger Bar
Bru burgers are made from local meats, toppings come from the freshest ingredients, and buns are freshly baked each day. They serve appetizers and sharing boards, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. There are around 20 burgers listed on the menu, including specialties like the Garlic Three Cheese and Honey Chipotle BBQ. The Melt Your Face is packed with hot sauce, Habanero Jack, Jalapeño, Habanero Whole Grain Mustard, and garden.
Burgers can be paired with a selection of local craft beer, signature cocktails, and wine. Bru Burger Bar is located at 410 Massachusetts Avenue, and they are open from 11 am seven days a week.
Between the Bun
Between The Bun serve creative burgers and hot dogs made with their hand-made seasonings, sauces, and fresh ingredients. Their menu consists of starters such as pretzel bites, deep-fried pepper jack cheese balls, and fried pickles. There’s also a selection of salads, hotdogs, sandwiches, and of course, burgers.
There are over 15 creative burger offerings, including The Garden Of Eden Veggie Burger, The Pb&J Burger, The Shroom & Swiss Burger, and The Cookie Monster, which is served on a brioche bun and includes pepper jack cheese, cookie butter, smoked bacon, and a sriracha drizzle. Between The Bun is located at 2222 W. Southport Road, and they are open Tuesday through to Sunday.
