The Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup truck designed to get the job done. This is one of the most comfortable riding pickups on the market, and it comes with the latest technology and lots of standard equipment. The 2019 model received a complete redesign from top to bottom including a new frame, a new exterior look, and upgrades in the cabin. Here are some of the 2019 Ram 1500 features that you will love.
Engine Lineup
The all-new Ram 1500 has multiple engine configurations. The entry-level system is a 3.6-liter V-6 that generates 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Ram also offers the 1500 with an optional 5.7-liter V-8 available for all the models except the HFE which gets 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Both of the engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive with four-wheel drive offered as an option.
Uconnect Infotainment System
The 2019 Ram 1500 comes with Chrysler’s Uconnect infotainment system with a 5-inch touchscreen in the entry-level models and an 8.4-inch touch screen in the higher-end trucks. The larger screen also works with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and if you choose the Laramie, the Longhorn, or the Limited, you can opt for an impressive 12-inch touch screen with the Uconnect package. This large screen comes with navigation, and it can be split to show several functions all at the same time.
RamBox System
The all-new Ram 1500 has a larger bed than before, and you can equip it with the RamBox Cargo Management system or the optional Class-Exclusive RamBox Cargo Management system that comes with two lockable storage bins with a drainage system and LED lighting. For 2019, Ram changed the location of the lights, so they shine down into the opening of the box when you open the lid, and other new features for 2019 include a 115-volt power outlet on the driver’s side and remote functions on the key fob.
Safety Features
All the 1500 models come with standard and optional safety features including a rearview camera, a new blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-path and trailer detection. The lane departure warning-plus system prevents an unintentional lane drift by alerting the driver, and the smart cruising system with stop and go monitors the vehicles ahead. The 2019 Ram 1500 also offers the option for a forward collision warning system with advanced brake assist and a guided parking system that works for both parallel and perpendicular parking.
Varied Cabin Features
Inside the Ram 1500, each of the Ram models has a uniquely themed cabin. The Laramie and the Longhorn have a western theme, and the Rebel has bold colors to give it a rugged look. All the cabins have a flat rear floor providing more foot room for the middle seat passenger, and adding storage space when you need it.
There many different features in the 2019 Ram 1500 that you’ll love whether you need a work truck, a commuting truck, or something for your weekend adventures.
