2021 Jeep Compass

The 2021 Compass has Jeep's appealing seven-slot grille, narrow headlights, a smaller lower grille, and a large front skid plate. Six trim levels are available: Sport, Latitude, Altitude, Limited, Trailhawk, and 80th Anniversary. Standard features include 16-inch wheels, heated power side mirrors, a spoiler, and puddle lights. You can choose automatic high beams, fog lights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rock rails for extra protection on tough trails, and turn signals for the side mirrors. A power liftgate, 17-, 18, or 19-inch wheels, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, tinted windows, a windshield wiper de-icer, and roof rails are available.

The 2.4-liter, four-cylinder MultiAir engine generates 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. It's attached to a six-speed automatic transmission, and it uses engine stop/start technology to reduce idling in traffic and conserve fuel while keeping accessories on.

With the Compass, you can easily maneuver through traffic or drive down narrow trails. This SUV can pull up to 2,000 pounds, and it has lots of ground clearance along with high air intakes for crossing creeks and streams. You'll also get hill descent control and responsive power steering. The Selec-Terrain Traction Management System comes with snow, auto, sand, and mud driving modes. You can choose the Trailhawk for a rock mode, and four-wheel drive is optional. The 2021 Compass can travel 22 mpg in traffic and 31 mpg on the open road.
