Trim Levels
The 2021 Ram 2500 is available in a smart selection of trim levels: the Tradesman, Bighorn, Power Wagon, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. Get your truck with the regular cab, the crew cab, or the Mega Cab and connect it to a 6-foot-4-inch or 8-foot box. This year's 2500 has a few exciting exterior accessories you should be on the lookout for, including the in-bed lockable RamBox storage containers, 115-volt bed outlet, power-extendable running boards, and the power tailgate. Choose the Laramie to get more chrome on your truck, as well as the full LED lighting system.
Engine
This year's model gives you the option of one of two engines. The first is the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engine that pumps out 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. This engine is matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you want to go diesel, opt for the 6.7-liter turbodiesel Cummins V-8 engine, which offers 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. This engine features a six-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Equipped with the HEMI engine, the 2500 gets a 4,010-pound payload rating. With the diesel engine, the 2500 can tow up to 19,680 pounds. This truck makes your towing jobs easier with features such as the power-folding tow mirrors, a trailer tire pressure monitoring system, the auto-leveling rear air suspension system, and more. Use the available 360-degree surround-view camera to safely back your trailer up. If you want a 2500 that can take on muddy roads, opt for the Power Wagon to get gas-charged monotube shocks, locking differentials for the front and rear, and an electronic front sway bar.
Interior
Progressing through the 2021 Ram 2500's trim levels gives you greater access to luxurious features. If you're looking for leather upholstery, shoot for the Laramie level, which also gives you heated front seats, the larger 8.4-inch touch screen with smartphone integration, and LED interior lighting. The Longhorn gives you premium leather seats and adds wood accents, storage bins in the rear row, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a premium navigation system.
