Engine (Power)
All 2022 Ram 2500s come standard with a 6.4-liter V-8 engine, offering 429 pound-feet of torque and 410 horsepower. This standard engine also has a towing capacity of 17,540 pounds. For more power, consider the turbo diesel I-6 engine. This engine creates a torque of 850 pound-feet and a horsepower of 370. For additional towing capabilities, this engine also has a capacity of up to 20,000 pounds. The V-8 has a slightly higher payload at 4,010 pounds, while the turbo diesel can carry up to 3,160 pounds.
Performance
Each Ram 2500 trim has options for rear- or four-wheel drive, depending on your needs. You can also choose an eight-speed or six-speed automatic transmission with these cars.
