2023 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid
The Chrysler Pacifica is a family-friendly minivan that offers both a gas engine and a hybrid powertrain. The Pacifica has a spacious and functional cabin with second-row seats that fold down into the floor to create extra cargo space, and it comes with lots of convenience features and modern tech. Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Pacifica is the Touring. This model comes only with a gas powertrain. It has 17-inch alloy wheels, power-sliding side doors, a power liftgate, and power-adjustable, heated side exterior mirrors. Step up to the Touring L to add roof rails and a panoramic sunroof to the gas-powered models. The Limited comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, a hands-free liftgate, and hands-free power sliding side doors, and the top-level Pinnacle trim has 18-inch wheels and comes only with the hybrid powertrain.
Engine (Power)
A 3.6-liter V-6 gas engine powers the regular Pacifica mod. It generates 287 horsepower and gets 287 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive come standard, but you can opt for all-wheel drive with the gas engine. The hybrid powertrain is a plug-in setup with a V-6 gas engine and an electric motor. These combine to put out 260 horsepower and work with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
Performance
If you choose the standard Pacifica, the gas engine has the power to propel the minivan to 60 mph in just over seven seconds. Chrysler tuned the suspension for comfort, and it does an excellent job of keeping the ride smooth over almost any road surface. When equipped with the tow package, the Pacifica can tow up to 3,600 pounds with the gas engine.
Interior
There's room for up to eight in the Pacifica with the second-row bench seat. Seating is reduced to seven if you have the captain's chairs. Cloth upholstery comes standard, along with triple-zone automatic climate control and a power-adjustable driver's seat. The high-end Pinnacle adds extras, such as second-row lumbar pillows and upgraded leather upholstery. It comes only with front-wheel drive. A 10.1-inch touchscreen comes standard and houses a wireless version of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and satellite radio. The Limited adds integrated navigation and an upgraded Harman Kardon stereo system, and the Pinnacle comes with a rear-seat entertainment system.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid has a full suite of active safety systems. These include adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision warning with automatic braking and pedestrian detection. It also comes with lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and rear parking sensors. The Touring L adds the option for the Safety Sphere Group with front parking sensors, a 360-degree surround-view parking camera, and an automated parking system that works in both parallel and perpendicular parking spots. It also offers the KeySense system, which allows a primary driver to set limits on speed, radio volume, and other features for secondary drivers.
