2023 Jeep Cherokee

The 2023 Cherokee comes in Trailhawk and Altitude Lux trim levels. Standard exterior features include Jeep's seven-slot grille, a sculpted hood, a rectangular lower grille, fog lights, sculpted sides, automatic LED headlights, heated folding side mirrors, 17-inch wheels, and daytime running lights. Rain-sensing windshield wipers, tinted windows, a rear wiper, a wiper de-icer, roof rails, a rear spoiler, and a power liftgate are standard as well.

A hands-free power liftgate, 18-inch wheels, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof with tinted glass and a power sunshade are optional. The Altitude Lux comes with active grille shutters, and the Trailhawk includes skid plates and a dual exhaust. You can select Bright White Clear-Coat, Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear-Coat, Hydro Blue Pearl-Coat, or Sting-Gray Clear-Coat exterior colors.

The Altitude Lux has a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder Tigershark MultiAir engine that produces 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. It can pull 2,000 pounds. The Trailhawk comes with a turbocharged, four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine that generates 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and it can tow 4,000 pounds. With both motors, you'll get a nine-speed automatic transmission.

This SUV is fun-to-drive on challenging trails or the highway. Its standard four-wheel drive has a two-wheel-drive mode to save gas, and four-wheel drive only works when you need it. You can select sport, auto, sand/mud, or snow driving modes. The Trailhawk has a rock mode as well. This trim level also has an off-road suspension and an engine oil cooler. The Trailhawk gets 20 mpg in urban areas and 26 mpg on larger roads. With the Altitude Lux, you can travel 21 mpg in traffic and 29 mpg on the open road.

The 2023 Jeep Cherokee comes with many convenient features, including Android Auto, speed-sensitive volume control for the six-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, heated front seats, folding rear seats, and an eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar settings. You'll also get an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone heating and air conditioning, and a universal garage door opener. The Altitude Lux has leather seats. Additional options include cooled front seats and a nine-speaker audio system with a 506-watt amplifier, a subwoofer, and active noise control.

The Cherokee comes with rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, 10 airbags, traction control, a rearview camera, electronic stability control, hill start assistance, forward collision warning with emergency braking, and lane departure alert with steering assistance. It also has parallel and perpendicular parking assistance, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability a security system, and trailer sway damping. The multistage front airbags can operate at different speeds to protect you and your passengers from many types of accidents. The Trailhawk includes hill descent control.
