2023 Jeep Wrangler and 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Like its predecessors, the 2023 Wrangler provides true open-air freedom with a removable top and doors. You can choose from a wide array of available trims, including the Sport, Willy Sport, Sport S, Freedom, Willy S, Sport Altitude, and Rubicon. Your other options are the Sahara, Sport RHD, Sahara Altitude, High Altitude, and Rubicon 392 trims. In addition, a hybrid 4xe model is offered.
Standard features on the base trim include 17-inch steel wheels, tow hooks, a black three-piece hard top, halogen headlights, and incandescent taillights. The trim also comes with fog lights and skid plates. The higher trims add various performance and aesthetic enhancements, such as rock rails, a 2-inch suspension lift, LED headlights, and Mopar side graphics.
Engine (Power)
A choice of five engines is provided with the Wrangler. The base 3.6-liter V-6 engine generates an output of 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Next in line is an available turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, followed by an optional 6.4-liter V-8 engine with an output of 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
You can opt for diesel power with an available turbo-diesel 3-liter V-6 engine. It produces 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The Wrangler's hybrid powertrain, which is called the 4xe, uses the 2.0-liter engine and an electric motor. It generates a combined 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
While all Wranglers offer excellent off-road capability, you have a few options if you're looking for a truly superior off-road vehicle. Your first option is the legendary Rubicon trim, which offers Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials, an electronic front sway bar disconnect, beefy 33-inch all-terrain tires, and rock rails.
You can also consider the Rubicon 392 trim, which comes standard with the 6.4-liter V-8 engine, beadlock-capable wheels, and a functional hood with a hydro-guide air induction system. Take things up a notch with the Xtreme Recon Package, which provides massive 35-inch tires and a best-in-class 12.9-inch ground clearance.
Interior
The Wrangler is available in two body styles: the original two-door model and a four-door Unlimited option. The former is equipped with four seats, while the latter provides five seats. A standard 7-inch infotainment system offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, two USB ports, eight speakers, and SiriusXM.
The various Wrangler trims offer incremental levels of luxury and convenience with available features that include heated front seats, leather upholstery, an Alpine audio system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. You can also opt for adaptable cargo features, such as the available Trail Rail system, with which you can secure items, or the Jeep Utility grid, which is helpful for organizing smaller cargo items.
