2023 RAM 2500

The 2023 RAM 2500 has a large black or chrome upper grille with RAM lettering in the center. There's also a smaller lower grille, rectangular headlights, and a sculpted hood. Seven trim levels are available: Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Power Wagon, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. You can choose from three cab designs and two bed sizes. Standard features include halogen headlights, LED lighting for the truck bed, 20-inch wheels, and trailer tow mirrors.

You can add a 400-volt or 115-watt outlet for the truck bed, a Mopar sport performance hood, rain-sensing windshield wipers, 33-inch off-road tires, or power running boards. The optional Adaptive Forward Lighting System can turn the headlights up to 15 degrees for better visibility. Exterior colors include Billet Silver Metallic Clear-Coat, Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat, Delmonico Red Pearl-Coat, Bright White Clear-Coat, Flame Red Clear-Coat, Pearl White, Patriot Blue Pearl-Coat, Hydro Blue Pearl-Coat, Olive Green Pearl-Coat, and Granite Crystal Metallic Clear-Coat.

The RAM 2500 has a 6.4-liter V-8 that offers 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, and it uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. A six-cylinder, 6.7-liter turbo diesel engine that produces 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque is available as well. A six-speed automatic transmission controls it.

The V-8 can carry 4,000 pounds and pull 17,730 pounds, and the diesel option can tow 19,908 pounds and haul 3,140 pounds. The RAM 2500 Crew Cab models have 50-gallon fuel tanks. With the diesel, engine, you'll get 12 mpg in traffic and 18 mpg on larger roads. All-wheel drive is optional, and an auto-leveling rear suspension lets you lower the truck bed for easier towing.

Standard features include acoustic glass, a 5-inch touch screen, active noise cancelation, five USB ports, voice activation, four speakers, two 12-volt power outlets, a compass, folding rear seats, and an exterior temperature display. The center console holds a laptop with a 15-inch screen.

You can add up to three 115-volt power outlets, an 8.4- or 12-inch touch screen, heated and cooled seats with memory settings, speed-sensitive volume control, dual-zone climate control with vents for the rear seats, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. You can also select an eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar settings, navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

The 2023 RAM 2500 comes with stability control, a rearview camera, a security system with an engine immobilizer, traction control, six air bags, and antilock brakes. The advanced multistage front air bags can protect you during accidents at a variety of speeds. Additional options include forward collision warning, active braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, hill descent control, a trailer brake controller, and ParkSense front and rear parking assistance. You can choose a 360-degree camera system with four cameras as well.
