Trim Levels

Trim levels for the Charger include the SXT, SXT AWD, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat. The base model SXT is more low-key, but the other models include design features such as hood scoops, a spoiler, and large wheels. The exterior and interior style of the 2019 Charger mirrors the Charger of the 1960s.

Trim levels for the 2019 Challenger include SXT RWD, GT RWD, SXT AWD, GT AWD, R/T, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Redeye, R/T Scat Pack, and R/T Scat Pack 1320. An extremely wide vehicle, the Challenger screams 1970s muscle car. The broad front grille, hood scoops, and large wheel sizes of the Challenger make it a force to be reckoned with on any road.

Performance

The standard engine for the Charger is a 3.6-liter V-6 with 292 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The robust SRT Hellcat features an enormous supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine with 707 horsepower and can top out at an impressive 204 mph. The fuel efficiency of the Charger depends upon chosen engine configuration and all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive.

The Challenger’s standard engine is a powerful 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 305 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic transmission. All Challenger R/T trim levels feature a 5.7-liter V-8 engine capable of 375 horsepower. If it’s power you seek, the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye sports a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine with 797 horsepower. Of course, fuel efficiency varies depending upon which engine configuration and trim level you choose.

Interior

The Charger features a roomy interior with plenty of customizable add-ons. On the dashboard, a 7-inch touchscreen information and entertainment system displays Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, and Bluetooth. If you need the space, the Charger’s trunk is a relatively big size at approximately 16.5 cubic feet.

The base version of the Challenger features a spacious cabin and comfortable seating. The dashboard contains a 7.0-inch touchscreen information and entertainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. At approximately 16.2 cubic feet, the trunk of the Challenger is rather large for a muscle car.

Safety Features

Standard safety features for the Charger include a rearview camera, six airbags, and rear parking sensors. Additional safety features are available such as adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitors, forward-collision warnings, and automatic emergency braking.

The Challenger’s standard safety features include a rearview camera, six airbags, and hill-start assist. Multiple safety features are available such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alerts, and forward collision warnings.
