Jeep has an impressive lineup of vehicles that are not only family-friendly but also fun to drive. Whether your family is the adventurous type or you’re just looking for a vehicle with plenty of space for passengers and cargo, Jeep has what you need. Here are the four best Jeeps for families.

  1. Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass offers roomy seating, especially for a small crossover SUV. You can get the Compass in seven trims: the Sport, Latitude, Freedom, Altitude, 80th Anniversary, Limited, and Trailhawk. Each is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 180 horsepower for plenty of power. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available on all trims except the Trailhawk, where it’s standard. Depending on trim, features include a 7-inch or 8.4-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless ignition and entry, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, a sunroof, and power liftgate.

  1. Jeep Cherokee

With seating for five, another small SUV option is the Cherokee, available in nine trims: the Latitude, Freedom, Latitude Plus, Altitude, Latitude Lux, 80th Anniversary, Limited, Trailhawk, and High Altitude. Depending on the trim the Cherokee is either driven by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that gets 270 horsepower, or a 3.2-liter V-6 that delivers 271 horsepower. Features vary by trim and include a 7- or 8.4-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power-adjustable driver and passenger seats, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats, a nine-speaker premium audio system, and a panoramic sunroof.

  1. Jeep Grand Cherokee

If you’re looking for a midsize SUV, look no further than the Grand Cherokee, which offers an astounding 12 trim levels: Laredo E, Freedom, Laredo X, Limited, 80th Anniversary, Limited X, Trailhawk, Overland, High Altitude, Summit, SRT, and Trackhawk. Engine options include a 3.6-liter V-6 with 295 horsepower, a 5.7-liter V-8 producing 360 horsepower, a 6.4-liter V-8 that delivers 470 horsepower, and a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 with an impressive 707 horsepower. Features include the same 7-inch or 8.4-inch touch screen, heated front seats and steering wheel, power liftgate, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, leather seating, a 19-speaker audio system, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.

  1. Jeep Grand Cherokee L

In need of a larger, third-row SUV? Then the Grand Cherokee L fits the bill for your family, available in six trims: the Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. Two engines power the Grand Cherokee L. The first is a 3.6-liter V-6 that delivers 293 horsepower, while the second is a 5.7-liter V-8 with 357 horsepower. You get a 10.1-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six USB-C ports, six standard USB ports, and four-zone climate control. Additional features include a 19-speaker audio system, heated and ventilated seats, and massaging front seats, all depending on trim level.
